VelvetTangie is 6-year-old spayed female Labrador Retriever mix, ID # 50970. Tangie is a sweet girl with a big grin to match her big heart. An EHS Officer rescued Tangie from the streets - she had a few injuries, possibly from a run in with a car. But just look at her now ... she's recovered and all smiles! Tangie is 85 pounds of Labrador love; she did so well on her behavior exams at the Escondido Humane Society that she made the honor roll. Though her intentions are always pure, she doesn't quite know her size; she'll need a home that can continue her training on manners, especially when she greets her people friends with sheer abandon Tangie is available for adoption at the Escondido Humane Society, 3450 E. Valley Parkway. As part of the Escondido Humane Society’s Adopt-A-Shelter-Dog Month adoption promotion, she can be adopted for just $55 in October. Adoption fee includes spay, microchip, up-to-date vaccinations and vet exam. For more information, call (760) 888-2247 or log on to open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week.
