Pet of the Week April 29th, 2010

pet
Kimber

Kimber is a 1-year-old spayed female bunny, ID # 34737. Kimber is very sassy and feisty. She loves her exercise time and will rattle her x-pen to remind everyone to take her out to play. She can be somewhat demanding, so she will do best in a bunny-experienced home. Kimber has a mild condition that causes her to sway gently from side to side, but she has been checked by a top rabbit veterinarian who has given her a clean bill of health. She is a very special girl who is kind and sweet once she establishes that she is in charge of her space. Kimber is available for adoption from the Escondido Humane Society and is currently living in foster care. Her adoption fee of $45 includes up-to-date vaccinations, spay and vet exam. For more information, call (760) 888-2247 or log on to www.escondidohumanesociety.org. The Escondido Humane Society Adoption Center is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week.

Animal Rescue

pet
Paulie

Paulie was rescued from a cruelty investigation and taken to a local shelter where he was given medical care and TLC and is now back in perfect health and is in a rescue foster home. He is about 3-4 years old, 11 lbs, neutered, has all his shots, and is micro-chipped and de-wormed. Paulie adjusts quickly to new situations, is very vocal and outgoing and loves lots of attention. Paulie can live with dogs who are savvy around cats, but is aggressive with other cats, so he needs to be the only cat in the household. He is litter box trained and keeps himself very clean. Paulie desperately needs a forever home where he will fit in and be loved for the rest of his life. FOR MORE INFORMATION, PLEASE CONTACT PAM at pjr223@yahoo.com or call 858-525-2988.

kittens

Yes, they are cutie pies.

And they’re so new they don’t yet have names. We’ll leave that to you.

Naming a kitten is a special act, best left to the new kitten’s family of humans.

Check them out! At the Escondido Humane Society
