Pet of the Week March 25th, 2010

pet
Boss

Boss is a 2-year-old male pit bull mix, ID # 45248. This sweet guy came to EHS with an existing injury to his eye, but don't think for a second that he lets it get him down! He doesn't appear to care about the left eye he once had. Life is fun again, and it's much better to just go out for walks and lots of loving. Boss is a work in progress: he is big, strong and enthusiastic, but he is learning how to walk nicely on a leash and sit for treats. A loving home with a cozy dog bed is just what the doctor ordered for Boss. Boss is available for adoption at the Escondido Humane Society, 3450 E. Valley Parkway. His adoption fee of $110 includes microchip, up-to-date vaccinations, neuter and vet exam.Call (760) 888-2247.

pet
Boone

Boone is a 2 year old, neutered, male, Coonhound Blend. Boone plays well with other dogs and after a good run, is easy going and laid back. Best in a home with humans 16 years and older due to his size and bounciness. Boone’s adoption fee: just $195. All pets adopted from Helen Woodward Animal Center have been spayed or neutered, have up-to-date vaccinations and microchip identification. Plus a Certificate for a Free Night Stay at our Club Pet Boarding!

Helen Woodward Animal Center kennels are open everyday from 11am to 6pm (Applications accepted till 5:45pm) at 6461 El Apajo Road in Rancho Santa Fe. 858-756-4117, option #1 or www.animalcenter.org.

pet
Candy

Candy is a Hound/Doberman Pinscher Mix. You will notice her soulful eyes. She is a shy 3 year old girl who probably has not had the best life so far. We think Candy needs someone that will be patient, and give her the TLC she needs.

We also believe that person will be rewarded with a faithful, gentle and loving companion. Candy is at the North Shelter at 2481 Palomar Airport Road, Carlsbad. They are open Tuesday through Saturday 9:30am to 5:30pm. (760) 438-2312. Make a note of Candy’s ID# A1335610, Neck-tag: N983 Kennel : N020.

kittens

Yes, they are cutie pies.

And they’re so new they don’t yet have names. We’ll leave that to you.

Naming a kitten is a special act, best left to the new kitten’s family of humans.

Check them out! At the Escondido Humane Society
