Social Butterfly March 25th, 2010

Evelyn Madison- The Social Butterfly

Chapter Member Honored by Rancho Buena Vista Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution

The Rancho Buena Vista Chapter (RBV) of Daughters of American Revolution (DAR) recently presented the Community Service Award to member Georgia Nordman. Georgia volunteers three times a week, four hours each day, at a local dialysis clinic while her husband is having his dialysis treatment. She handles many details for up to 40 patients per day, bringing warmth with her laughter, making dialysis more bearable to the patients, and has saved patients' lives because of her attention.

The purpose of the Community Service Award is to recognize worthy local people from a variety of walks of life for outstanding achievements in educational, humanitarian, patriotic, historical or citizenship endeavors, or environmental conservation. A DAR member qualifies if the community service performed was unrelated to DAR activities.
