We Have At Least
One Reader!
Lyle, you have an awesome paper! The stories you publish are very, very informative and educational.
The Mormons are very similar to Christians. They both did horrific, inhuman things in the name of Jesus Christ.
You might want to do a story about Christopher Columbus. Columbus was actually a pirate. He and his men robbed, raped, murdered in the name of Christ. P.B.S. had a story on Columbus some years ago. It was just as enlightening as your story on the Mormons.
My main reason for subscribing to The Paper is the Give Us This Day Chuckles and the stories you present. I hope you can keep it going for years to come.
I want to mention that you got me good with an article you did on the stocking of Dixon Lake with sharks. I believed that story until I called The Paper days later and was told it was for an April Fools Day edition.
God bless you all!

Editor’s Comment: Wow! You really made our day with that letter. In fairness, however, I’m curious as to what “horrific, inhuman things’ the Mormons did in the name of Christ? I recall the Mountain Meadows tragedy . . . but not aware of any other similar acts. That incident, by all accounts, was an aberration and not reflective of Mormons in general.
Still, your very kind words are much appreciated . . . and thanks for being a subscriber. It’s folks like you that keep us in business!
