Our compliments to the Escondido City Council who did something more and more legislators and doing less and less of these days.
They listend to the people. And they’ve helped to save the Center for the Arts, Escondido.
Mayor Pfeiler, Councilmembers Daniels, Diaz, Abed and Waldron, well done! You have a tough and demanding duty to perform and you’ve done well. None of us mere mortals would want to deal with all these budget cuts you have to look at so carefully. We fully realize that every decision you make will affect a number of employees of the city. That, as they say, is tough duty. Very tough duty.
Item #2: Not a day has gone by this last week when we haven’t take full advantage of the opportunity to comment on what beautiful weather we enjoy here in Southern California.
Many of us grew up in the midwest and east, where they are now experiencing such difficult times with huge snowstorms, snowdrifts, blizzards, sleet, ice, many, many snow related traffic accidents and traffic jams . . . and we look at our cloudless blue skies and 70 to 80 degree temps . . . and we say ‘thank you” to whatever power that brought us to the decision to come to California, and, more specifically, to North San Diego County.
It helps, of course, that we are surrounded with the most beautiful people on earth, as well as gentle and kind folk.
