The Secret
People ask me most every day, “just what does it take to become a successful chiropractor?”
I generally look them straight in th eye and tell them . . . “well, it helps a lot if you look like the actor, Kevin Costner. You take Dr. Mark Cafagna, for example. Then, it would be a tremendous help if you could find yourself a knockout beauty for a wife, maybe a beauty pageant winner, for example. As an example, Pam Cafagna, Miss Poway of 1978. Then, of course, it always is helpful if you have a great education, like having attended the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Dubuque, Iowa, the home of modern day chiropractic.
Next, I tell anyone who is listening, “you want to have some children . . . say, two daughters and one son. You might consider naming them Ashley, Brittaney and Mark Jr. Naturally, they should all turn out absolutely beautiful and handsome.
Those, I tell them, are the basic ingredients of what it takes to become a brilliantly successful chiropractor. ‘Course, it helps if you can not only treat injuries suffered in the home, at work, via car accident, but also sports injuries. Y’see . . . a well rounded experience of treating a broad spectrum of injuries just makes you that much more valuable to your patients, past, present and future.Put them all together and you have a brilliantly successful career as a chiropractor.”
At about this point in time my listeners will ask me, “well, do you know such a chiropractor?”
“Y’know,” sez me, “as a matter of fact I do. His name is Dr. Mark Cafagna. The last name rhymes with Lasagna. That’s why most folks just call him Dr. Mark. Even his beautiful wife, Pam, (who, in fact was Miss Poway of 1978). She often says . . . ‘oh, Dr. Mark, you’re simply wonderful. And, Dr. Mark, she goes on, ‘did I ever tell you how much you resemble the actor, Kevin Costner?”
He usually just blushes and says, “aw, shucks.”
Dr. Mark and his wife, Pam, make for a mighty attractive and talented couple, I tell my listeners. When I show them a copy of the photo above, they quickly agree with me.
His present and past patients know that Dr. Mark uses state of the art equipment and procedures and has that amiable, folksy way of talking with his patients that makes him so popular that he and his staff are now celebrating their 25th Anniversary. Time passes quickly when you have a highly successful chiropractic practice. There’s always something new and exciting to learn and to present to your patients.
That’s how his patients, both present and future, are the recipients of such relaxing features as ultrasound treatments for tired and injured muscles, heat packs, cold packs, and LCD Spinal Decompression System, a non-force, non-adjustive computerized spinal disc decompression therapy designed for people with disc related conditions, sciatica, failed back surgery, or chronic pain. Dr. Mark also has had great success with nerve pain into the arms and legs, fibromyalgia, carpal tunnel, and TMJ. He treats all pain syndromes including headache, neck pain, lower back pain, and disc related cases.
