John Martin Recognized For Aiding Law Enforcement
North County Jewelry Exchange recognizes Team Member for aiding law enforcement officers in tracking down unlicensed, illegal gold traffickers who cheat the public.
With the price of gold at an all time high, irresponsible people have been enticing the public with offers to buy and sell gold at prices that betray the quality of the gold. Legitimate, licensed pawnbrokers, on the other hand, operate under a strict code of integrity that protects the public trust.
John Martin, who has been with the Gems N’ Loans Jewelry Exchange for more than 13 years, has been assisting local law enforcement officers in tracking down these unlicensed, illegal gold traffickers who cheat the public. He was honored recently as a featured team member of the company.
Before joining Gems N’ Loans, Martin practiced law. He has served in more capacities and done more of a variety of jobs than any other employee of the family of stores. As training director of Gems N’ Loans, he spends numerous hours with each new hire, teaching them gold identification and how to use the company’s Pawndex software. He has served in numerous management capacities for Gems N’ Loans, including general manager.
Guitar Expert & Musician
As a professional musician and guitar expert, Martin’s expertise and knowledge of guitars has been most valuable to the company. He can be seen playing bass guitar with his band High Plains Drifter almost every Saturday night.
Gems N’ Loans operates four stores in North County, in Vista, Oceanside, Temecula and Escondido.
