Poizner for Governor!
he Paper is endorsing Steve Poizner for California’s next Governor.
We have seen Meg Whitman’s resume and it’s impressive; we also get her press releases. They are not impressive. They reek of boilerplate “political speak” and, frankly, I’m tired of that.
Poizner, on the other hand, has a clear record of accomplishment in a variety of arenas. As an academic he excelled, graduating with honors as an electrical engineer, later named one of the top 10 eletrical engineering students in the nation. He went on to great success in business, served in Washington, D. C., on the National Security Council. He was elected to California’s largest consumer protection agency and managed to trim costs by 15% and increase service.
He is a dynamic speaker, a great motivator and he thinks and operates like a businessman. Most importantly, he gets things done in a no-nonsense, businesslike manner.
That’s what we need in Sacramento.
An overflow crowd turned out to hear him speak this Monday at Cocina del Charro in Escondido. He not only mesmerized the crowd with his messgae but promptly and thoroughy answered all questions put to him.
He has a long list of accomplishments. It is time the people of the state of California elected our governor . . . not political kingmakers.
The Paper recommends you study the issues and then vote for Steve Poizner for Governor this coming November.
