The Palace of Art Joe’s Glass Shack

photoThe casual observer might not think of a “glass shack” as the repository for beautiful works of art. That casual observer would be wrong.

A new and bright gallery of art, Joe’s Glass Shack not only displays beautiful works of art but teaches you how to make beautiful art.

Indeed, many of the art pieces on display have been built by the students of Joe Perez, the always smiling, always genial owner of Joe’s Glass Shack. He is your host, your teacher, your docent, your critic.
Stained glass works at Joe’s Glass Shack will amaze you. There are pieces he has designed, pieces his students have designed . . . they’re all there.

For you newbies, ask about his introductory classes on stained glass design. Learn the basics including glass selection, cutting, lead assembly and various other techniques. It’s only $85 per class session which includes one class per week for six weeks. Supplies and project are stored on-site during class session.

Class schedules are Tuesday-Saturday from 10am - noon, Tuesday-Thursday evenings 6:30-8:30pm. Supplies, tools and glass sold as needed.

You’ll find dedicated students at Joe’s Glass Shack as well as a dedicated teacher in Joe himself. He literally practices what he preaches. The beautiful mural below is in his lovely home. It took him nine months
to complete this work of art.

His all new, much larger location at 1215 Pacific Oaks Pl # 105, offers convenient parking nearby, a spacious studio, lots of inspiration and creative ideas and people surrounding you. And . . . most of all, you’ll have the patient teaching of Joseph, showing you how to create beautiful works of art from glass. And, in a new wrinkle, you can also learn the art of weaving. Learn about different materials, different looms . . . it’s all there as well. And, as if that wasn’t enough, you can even buy fresh eggs at Joe’s Glass Shack.

Just like the man says . . . there’s always something for everybody at Joe’s Glass Shack.

Come on in! Join your other creative colleagues at Joe’s Glass Shack, 1215 Pacific Oaks Pl # 105, Escondido. Questions? Call Joe at 480 4527.

Note: All art projects on this page, except for the mural below, were done by Joe’s students.
