Social Butterfly November 5th, 2009

Evelyn Madison- The Social Butterfly

November is Adopt-A-Senior-Pet Month at Humane Society

Sadly, older pets often are overlooked by their younger counterparts, but these precious pets deserve to live out their golden years in loving homes. To help them find their new families, the seniors' adoption fees are being cut in half in November at the Escondido Humane Society. That means you can adopt any animal older than seven years for just $27.50. Adoption fee includes microchip, up-to-date vaccinations, spay or neuter, and more. Log on
www.escondidohumanesociety.org to meet the adoptable seniors, and call the Adoption Center at 760.888.2247 for more information.

Republican Women Donate Ball Gowns to Marine Wives

Pictured with a closet full of gowns are Republican Women members,

Rancho Bernardo Republican Women and their friends generously donated over 24 gowns, shoes, evening bags, and other accessories to military wives for their military ball and other holiday parties. This giveaway is sponsored each year by the Marine Corps Community Services, MCRD San Diego and the Media Arts Center San Diego. The women were pleased to be able to take part in this gown giveaway. Without this project many wives would not have gowns to be able to attend holiday functions.

The Rancho Bernardo Republican Women meet on the third Friday of each month at Stoneridge Country Club. Guests are always welcome. For information/reservations, call 858.487.0378.
