Lots of Kiwanis Activity in North County

The Kiwanis Club of San Marcos was particularly busy. Among other tasks, on Sunday, October 4th, they manned the 42-mile point aid station for bikers participating in the 24th Annual Tour de Poway Fun Bike Ride. Members prepared sandwiches, fruit, and beverages for the several hundred bicyclists riding in the 100 Mile Century course, running from Poway, through San Marcos and along the coast before returning to Poway. The Kiwanis Club of San Marcos also took time out to honor Dorothy Shubin as 2009 Kiwanian of the Year.
