Pet of the Week October 8th, 2009

pet
Mindy

Mindy is a 3-year old, spayed, female, domestic Folk Art feline. Mindy is clever and clean with litter box duties, enjoys the thrills of the great indoors and is just a very special gal! Enhance your black and white world with an autumn splendor of color and love with Mindy! Mindy’s adoption fee is just $65.

All pets adopted from Helen Woodward Animal Center have been spayed or neutered. Up-to-date vaccinations and microchip identification. Helen Woodward Animal Center kennels are open everyday from 11am to 6pm (Applications accepted till 5:45pm) at 6461 El Apajo Road in Rancho Santa Fe. For more information call 858-756-4117, option #1.

pet
Buster

Buster is a 10-month-old neutered male Sharpei/hound mix (ID #36162). He is very sweet and full of energy, and he loves to play. He has learned the sit command and down, and he is working on his recall. To help teach him even more, Hidden Valley Obedience Club has offered to sponsor him with free classes, either six to eight weeks depending on what his new family chooses. All they ask is that he and his new family make a serious effort to have good attendance. During October, the Escondido Humane Society is having a buddy adoption special that allows anyone who has adopted from the shelter in the past year to adopt a dog for free. For new adopters, Buster’s adoption fee is $55, which includes microchip, up-to-date vaccinations, neuter and vet exam.

Bentley and Mercedes

Hi! We're Bentley and Mercedes. We're brothers who are two years old (Mercedes is the black cat). We're told we're very mellow and friendly. We love being petted and having you talk baby talk to us. We're very good about using our litter box, too. We're neutered, feline leukemia negative and are up to date with all of our shots. WE ARE STRICTLY INDOOR CATS! We would like to be adopted together, but our foster mom says she would consider separating us. We just want our forever homes. To meet these handsome guys or learn more about them, contact Pam at pam@Logoinc.com, or call (760) 522-7836. Bentley & Mercedes are up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered.

The Kitty Korner

These cute little kittens need homes. All have been weaned, spayed or neutered, and vaccinated.
Available at the Escondido Humane Society
For more information, call (760) 888-2247. The Escondido Humane Society Adoption Center is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week. For more information, log on to

kittens

Yes, they are cutie pies.

And they’re so new they don’t yet have names. We’ll leave that to you.

Naming a kitten is a special act, best left to the new kitten’s family of humans.

Check them out! At the Escondido Humane Society
