Pet of the Week September 24th, 2009

pet
Jade

Jade is a 1 ½ year old, spayed, female, domestic short haired cat. She would be best in a home with no other kitties as this gem wants to be your very own precious jewel! Adopt your jewel, Jade, for just $65. All pets adopted from Helen Woodward Animal Center have been spayed or neutered, have up-to-date vaccinations and microchip identification. Helen Woodward Animal Center kennels are open everyday from 11am to 6pm (Applications accepted till 5:45pm) at 6461 El Apajo Road in Rancho Santa Fe.For more information call 858-756-4117, option #1.

pet
Lucy and Ricky

Lucy and Ricky, both four year old Min Pin mixes, are devoted to each other and must be adopted together. Like their names imply, they are a source of endless entertainment – both with different personalities (Lucy is spunky, Ricky more mellow) but they fit so well together! If you’re looking for an instant family with loads of character, Lucy and Ricky just might be the ones for you. During the month of September, EHS is promoting these two with a free “buddy” adoption special – adopt both dogs for the price of one!

Adoption includes microchip, up-to-date vaccinations, spay and neuter, and vet exam. For more information, call (760) 888-2247 or log on to www.escondidohumanesociety.org.

Cindi

My name is Cyndi, and I am a 5-year-old, 4.5 pound brindle-colored Chihuahua who is looking for a forever home. I'm housetrained, and good with other, gentle dogs. I love to sit on your lap and give kisses, and cuddling in bed at night is great! I've recently had some trauma in my little life. One of my back legs got hurt, and it had to be amputated. In spite of this, I get around just fine, and still like to go for walks. If you think we're a match, contact my foster mom, Eileen, at emmundt@san.rr.com

Cyndi is up-to-date with routine shots and spayed/neutered. Please check the following web site for foster parenting and volunteering opportunities.

kittens

Yes, they are cutie pies.

And they’re so new they don’t yet have names. We’ll leave that to you.

Naming a kitten is a special act, best left to the new kitten’s family of humans.

Check them out! At the Escondido Humane Society
