New No-Smoking Policy in Place for San Dieguito River Park

The San Dieguito River Park Joint Powers Authority has adopted a new no-smoking policy, effective immediately. The River Park's policy encompasses the entire focused planning area in habitat areas, trails, and SDRV Regional Open Space Park facilities. Signs will be added in the park and posted at the kiosks.

Smoking has been determined to be a hazard to natural habitat because of the potential for causing wildfires as well as having an aesthetic impact due to litter.
