Pet of the Week May 28th, 2009

pet
Bell

Bell is a one year old, spayed, female, Basset Hound/Shepherd Blend. 40 fully grown pounds, Bell adores playing with other dogs! She’d work best with a family of humans 14 years and older. For plenty of adoration and companionship you can adopt Bell for just $200.

All pets adopted from Helen Woodward Animal Center have been spayed or neutered, have up-to-date vaccinations and microchip identification. Helen Woodward Animal Center kennels are open everyday from 11am to 6pm ) at 6461 El Apajo Road in Rancho Santa Fe. Call 858-756-4117, option #1

pet
Gretchen

Gretchen is a 10-year-old Belgian Malinois mix who has quickly found her way into the hearts of staff and volunteers at the shelter. Gretchen is a dignified older woman who is always on her best behavior. She has excellent leash manners and listens well to commands. She loves to give and receive affection, and would be happy to sit at your side all day. She also loves to go for rides and play. If introduced properly she likes other dogs, too. She has been a primarily inside dog, so she may be housebroken already. Gretchen’s adoption fee of $55 includes microchip, up-to-date vaccinations, spay and vet exam.

kitten

Yes, they are cutie pies.

And they’re so new they don’t yet have names. We’ll leave that to you.

Naming a kitten is a special act, best left to the new kitten’s family of humans.

Check them out! At the Escondido Humane Society
