Fiesta Auction to be Held by Business Women's Association
The Soaring Eagles Chapter of the American Business Women's Association will hold a fundraiser on Sunday, May 17, at Cocina del Charro Restaurant in Restaurant Row in San Marcos. This event will allow the chapter to continue the tradition of making education attainable for local students in need, for women needing education to re-enter the job market, and members seeking to improve their business skills. In recent years, those benefiting from our fundraising efforts have included applicants from St. Clare's Home, Mary's House for foster children, Women's Resource Center, and Valley High School.
Readers can participate by sponsorship support for the event, which will include recognition of their business in event promotions and signage; donation of a gift certificate or product for the auction; or a donation of money or services to assist in underwriting costs of the event. Donations will benefit local community; scholarships are given to local residents with family ties in North County.
The local Soaring Eagles Chapter was formed over ten years ago and is an award winning Best Practices chapter with over 60 members. It is a part of the national organization of American business Women's Association that was founded 60 years ago for the purpose of promoting personal and professional growth, as well as networking and educational opportunities for business women.
