From a Brilliant Writer
Mr. Davis:
You have done a great service to true journalism, a profession that has not been living up to its own standards of excellence for a long time. Many of us who have followed Serbian issues throughout the last two decades have become very disenchanted with the press, but I knew that there were still those left in the media who could be trusted to report ethically and truthfully about Serbs and who they are as a people.
I am the "Aleksandra Rebic" whom you used as a source in your wonderful cover story about "The Forgotten 500" this month, the saga of the American airmen rescued by the forces of General Mihailovich, his Chetniks, and the Serbian people loyal to them. Thank you for caring about this story and for doing such a fine job of reporting it. You do your profession justice.

Secure the Border Now!
Its hard to believe that after all these years Washington has still not secured our dangerous border with Mexico. Our Federal Government still allows tons of dangerous drugs and perhaps a million or more unchecked illegal aliens and criminals to cross our border illegally each year. Bush did very little in 8 years to stop the invasion. Now the chickens have come home to roost and the Obama Administration is suddenly in a panic to send reinforcements to the border to prevent Mexico's civil war from spilling into America. Sending a few hundred Federal agents to the border will likely do little to stop the flood of drugs to America and weapons to Mexico. But its a start. To truly secure our border, we must have a secure double fence from San Diego to Texas, and the National Guard or military stationed at hot spots to prevent drug cartel incursions. We all need to demand these two critical actions from our elected representatives if we ever want to see the Mexican drug violence contained and order restored along our border regions in both countries. Mr. Obama, We the People are demanding, secure the border now!

Loves Sheriff Joe
Lyle E. Davis: Great article on JOE THE SHERIFF IN AZ! We need this Sheriff in CA. I am ready to move to AZ. Tell him he has a lot of people praying for him. I have an e-mail prayer group and we will continue to pray for him and his staff.

Another Sheriff Joe Fan . . .
Editor:
One doesn't have to be a genius to figure out that sheriffs, chiefs
of police, mayors, council members, D.A.s and even judges are being bribed by those who benefit from taxpayer subsidized illegal alien labor.
To see a sheriff like Sherif Joe Arpaio of Arizona refuse to be
bribed, it is these days like seeing a comet in the sky! It doesn't happen often. In fact, it is extremely rare!
Our country has reached the point that everybody seems to be accepting bribes from the merchants. Even our legislators are not immune to bribery as they accept campaign donations. In these days of corruption and lawlessness, Sheriff Joe Arpaio is a rare gem. Arizona is lucky to have him.

Another great one, Lyle! I can see why you are not writing for any “major media” (MSM). You refuse to be politically correct! KUDOS TO YOU!
This Sheriff is awesome! I wish we could hire him around San Diego – get rid of the wimps and politically correct chumps that are running around here – allowing illegals free rein in this once beautiful area! If we had Arpaio, maybe our cities wouldn’t be turning into TJ Barrios!

One of the 500 Rescued
I was delighted to read Lyle E. Davis’ article in “The Paper.” It made my day, as my favorite TV, Clint Eastwood might say.
In my opinion, Lyle shot straight from the hip with no quarter given or taken. Lyle also refused to nibble around the edges and went straight for the jugular. I would like to see that version on the front page of every newspaper in the United States of America.
My kind of Editor/Publisher
Please don’t ever let up in our fight to vindicate General Mihailovich.

Editor’s Note: Curtis “Bud” Diles’ air crew is one that was rescued from Yugoslavia, as featured in our recent cover story, “The Forgotten 500.”
Kudos From a Top Newsaperman
The Paper is a great little paper.
Keep up the good work.
You're printing stuff that won't be found in other media in the county.

A Differing Point of View
Lyle E. Davis’ article “Better Call the Sheriff” made Fox News look like CNN. The gross generalizations, the racist but not really rhetoric, the four times repeated underlining of the word illegal; by the end of reading Mr. Davis' "report" I felt compelled to write this.
Mr. Davis seems to put anyone that shows up to protest immigration laws in a category he so aptly deems illegal. Putting people in generalized categories is also used by Mr. Davis to prove the point that illegal aliens “slither” across the border then “commit murders, theft, and mayhem.” I'm a citizen of the United States and have been all of my life. So were my parents, their parents, and their parents before them. How can you make the claim everyone at an immigration protest is illegal? I'm sure there are plenty of people, like me, that might feel compelled to attend a peaceful demonstration organized by Mr. Reza that are not, never have been, and never will be illegal. In fact Mr. Reza, the ring leader of all of the "illegals" himself, is not only a citizen but a former member of the US Air Force, stationed in Germany. This issue and Mr. Davis’ report represent a paradox for me. Do I want to open the borders and have free reign for all wanting to come here? No I do not. However, if I take a step back and am truly honest with myself, I know I would do anything that I could to get here.
