A Caring Person

If you’re a senior citizen, or if you have a parent who is a senior citizen, chances are you want someone to look after your affairs who is a caring individual; someone who thoroughly understands your wants, your needs, your circumstance, and who has a demonstrated sense of commitment and duty.

Look no further. We’ve found your perfect person. Yvette Anaya Hamud, the beautiful and talented daughter of long time North County Insurance Broker and Financial Planner, Dan Anaya, has been training with dear old dad since she was about six years old.

She started by helping dad keep his office clean. Then she’d do paper work, filing. As she matured, she began to study and learn the business side of business. She excelled while in high school, then went on to get her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Art, took a Master’s Degree from Loyola Marymount in Marriage and Family Counseling as well as Art Therapy . . . also securing her teacher’s credential in the process. She applied her teaching skills by working with kids in the South Central Los Angeles areas. She felt so strongly about the kids that she went on to become a licensed therapist, specializing for three years in working with underprivileged kids.

Then, following her marriage and subsequent birth of a child, she turned to, once again, working with dear old dad. She passed the difficult state exam, became a licensee, and decided to specialize providing Senior Care . . . working with Medicare, Senior Advantage programs . . and other programs that seniors need to know about. You can reach this accomplished young lady by calling (760) 744-3618.

Preparing Your Family Today for the events of Tomorrow - since 1970

Neat slogan, isn’t it?

Marten’s Health & Survival, Inc., got started thanks to Joanne Marten who had started a two part business of supplying healthy food and minerals as well as emergency supplies.

This was back in the Cold War Era if you’ll remember. We didn’t know if we were going to have “the big one” dropped on us . . . and it was just prudent to prepare.

From that time on, people have recognized the wisdom of always being prepared . . . Cold War or not. There are always earthquakes, firestorms (we know a little about both, don’t we?) and other potential calamities for which we ought to be prepared for our family’s safety.

And that is why Marten’s Health & Survival, Inc., is in business. They make sure that whether you’re protecting your home and family, or whether you want to be out backpacking, hunting, fishing, exploring, you have what you need to protect yourself and your loved ones.

Hiking and camping? You may want to take foil pouches of food. Want some Shrimp Newburg while out in the mountains? You can find that, plus beef, chicken teriyaki, all kinds of tasty foods, kept safely in foil packs, just waiting for you to add hot water, let sit for about five minutes . . . and then, dig in!

If in the wilderness, of if water supply lines are cut off, you’ll need a water purification kit. Avoid Gardia and other parasitic problems within water supplies with your own purification kit . . . and water storage barrels or other portable containers.

You can buy a day, a week, a month, a six month, or a year’s supply of food and/or emergency supplies at Marten’s Health & Survival, Inc.

Joanne Marten really started something! She doesn’t work full time anymore. Her husband, Novel and son, Tom, both run the business. They’ll drop ship most any supplies you want and do it promptly. All major credit cards are accepted. You can shop online at www.martensurvival.com, or, you can order a catalog, both on line as well as by phone. Just call their convenient 800 number: 1-800.824.7861.

Try those delicious entrees in foil pouches. They’re somewhat similar to MRE’s (the military food pouch) but, we think, more tasty and less expensive. A meal for two persons, with shrimp or chicken? About $6 or $7. Open the foil pouch, add hot water, let sit for 5-10 minutes. It’s ready to eat!

Whether you’re a hunter, camper, hiker, fisherman, RV’er, or just want to prepare your home for an emergency, you’d be well advised to get in touch with Marten’s Health & Survival, Inc.!

They are open Monday through Thursday, 9am to 4pm, Fridays from 9am to 1pm.

For long term storage, for a weekend’s outing, whatever your need . . . give them a call at 1.800.824.7861 or go to their website: www.martensurvival.com.
