The Thrill of the Hunt

Too bad I didn't have you meet Dennis' sister when she was here visiting a couple of months ago. She is the queen of second hand shopping. She's been doing it for years and helps teach others how to "do it." Of course while she was here she and Dennis made the rounds. She's worse that that coupon queen you see on TV. She knows when each shop puts their new stuff out and she's always on the lookout for specials.

Dresses like a fashion queen. Fully accessorizes every outfit with shoes, jewelery, scarfs, hats, etc. Then she trades in stuff, rarely keeps anything more than three or four months. It's her passion and she's addicted. She got hooked years ago when she was selling real estate and needed lots of suits, etc. Discovered how much cheaper it was to buy them second hand. Then she got hooked.

You really better keep and eye on Evelyn, your research may have exposed her to the virus.

Letters to the Editor are always welcome.

Please limit your submission to 250 words. As always, we reserve the right to edit for length, content, and good taste.

We prefer submittals via email. Please send to: thepaper@cox.net but will accept faxed copies and regular mail. We will, however, screech mightily if and when we receive them because, being lazy, we don’t like to have to retype Letters to the Editor or Press Releases. With email it’s a lot quicker and easier to edit.

If you have an item for The Social Butterfly, you can email that to: TheSocialButterfly@cox.net

Readers are expected to comport themselves at all times as ladies and gentlemen. See as how that’s all that reads The Paper, that should be easy.

We require your name, address, and phone number so we can verify the letter. We will not, however, publish your address or phone number.

Fax to:
760.741.7800

Regular mail to:
3643 Grand Avenue, Suite B
San Marcos, Ca. 92078

We seek to hear a variety of opinions from North San Diego County. After all, we are YOUR community newspaper. You have an opportunity, via the Letters to the Editor, to have your views known. Get busy and start writing!
