Kudos from a Marine
That was a wonderful story that you wrote about Natali Galt. She is a fantastic young lady and outstanding Kiwanian. I brought a copy of The Paper to Thursday’s Kiwanis meeting and told everyone to pick up a copy and then I read to them your physical description of her "slender body."
Thanks for an extremely well done story and a great plug for Kiwanis. Oh, by the way, you are one heck of a writer. Every Thursday I stop at the Village Jewelers to pick up the latest copy of The Paper. If it has an article about a Marine, I get extra copies being their are about five former Marines in our Kiwanis Club.
Give my best to Evelyn.

Well, I see my story and picture made it into your paper, for which I thank you! However, rather than having been overwhelmed by eager, nubile young women, (actually if one were to show up it would represent a 100% increase) the only comment I did receive was from a crone. Long past even middle-aged bimbo-hood, she gave me a heartfelt thank you for having made my picture available to ward off evil spirits. Sort of like a blind date I went on in my youth where my date lavished praise on me by saying, "You’re so ugly, your cute."
Anyway, thanks for running my story,
Best personal regards,
Jim Wheyland, Escondido
Editor’s Note: Jim was the writer of the excellent whimsical piece in last week’s edition that took note of the change of decor and ambience at the Comstock, a local eatery and watering hole in Escondido that apparently has undergone new management or ownership.
The Paper Spreads Its Wings
Your paper's reach is surprising. Since your recent package on myself in The Paper, I've received e-mails and phone calls from people as far away as Indiana, Washington and East County. I never realized how far a weekly could reach in this modern day and age. Thanks again, Lyle.
