California Council for Adult Education, Legislator of the Year
By Senator Mark Wyland
In acknowledgment of my passion for career technical education, I was recently named Legislator of the Year for 2008 by the California Council for Adult Education (CCAE). I'm honored to be recognized by this effective and successful organization and appreciate our like-minded attitude toward improving education in California.
CCAE is the state's largest adult education organization that represents teachers, administrators and counselors within the adult education field. The work CCAE does for adult education programs in California is invaluable and I'm proud to be a part of their efforts. Increasing the importance of career technical education and public education will help prepare more students for hands-on job training.
Adult education remains a part of the solution to expanding career technical education options for all students, and I look forward to continuing my work with CCAE on their behalf.
