A Message from State Senator Mark Wyland
There were two circuses in town this week, but truth be told, Corteo was probably more enjoyable to watch than the 14 hour spectacle that was the California Coastal Commission Hearing at the Del Mar Fairgrounds.
Over 3,000 people turned out to voice their opinion on the Foothill South toll road extension in South Orange County. Opponents shouted, “Save Trestles” and “Save the Park” but the reality is the road wouldn’t touch one grain of sand, would not harm Trestles and would not close the San Mateo Campground.
The fact is – we desperately need an alternative to the congested I-5 – now.
