Coal is a 1 year old, neutered male, Pointer/Labrador Retriever Mix. Fully grown at 49 ½ pounds, you'll have an energetic and friendly pet.

Coal came to Helen Woodward Animal Center from another shelter. About 80% of HWAC's adoptions are pets that have been transferred from other shelters. All are given a second chance to warm your heart and brighten YOUR life!

You can adopt "Coal" for $175.

NOW Till-January 3rd, 2008, the 9th Annual 'Iams Home 4 the Holidays' Pet Adoption Drive. When you adopt Coal you will have participated in the largest and most successful pet adoption drive in history! Home 4 the Holidays began at Helen Woodward Animal Center in 1999. This year more than 2,700 animal shelters in 14 countries around the world are working together to find homes for more than 410,000 orphaned pets! All pets adopted from Helen Woodward Animal Center have been spayed or neutered, have up-to-date vaccinations and have microchip identification.

Helen Woodward Animal Center kennels are open everyday from 11am to 6pm. Applications accepted till 5:45pm at 6461 El Apajo Road in Rancho Santa Fe.
