Lake San Marcos Women's Club Annual Fashion Show


Monday, September 27th marks this years presentation of the Lake San Marcos Women’s Club Annual Fashion Show at the Lake San Marcos Country, Club.  It all starts at 11am.


The theme this year is "A Wardrobe for Around-the World or Around the Block" and will spotlight the classy, chic and oh-so-comfortable fashions from Draper's and Damon's in Escondido, La Jolla and now at The Forum in Carlsbad.  A representative from the Escondido store will narrate. 


Eight Women's Club members will model.  In addition to a number of door prizes, one of the members, Lucy McGill,  is donating a week at her ocean view condo in Maui  to be awarded at  a special drawing.

Camp Hope: A Day Away


The San Diego Affiliate of Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization will be holding its first Camp Hope: A Day Away, on November 6th, 2004, from 9am – 3:30pm at the Christ Lutheran Church at 4761 Cass Street in Pacific Beach. 


A variety of  classes will be offered  including yoga, drumming, lifestyle changes, gardening, and  arts and crafts.  Guests will be treated to massages and facials/makeovers.  A continental breakfast and a luncheon will be included.  The luncheon guest speaker will be Terri Russo, MD, pathologist with Kaiser Permanente who will speak on the new readings in your pathology report.  This program is open to all breast cancer patients and survivors ,free of charge.


Registration is required.

This event is presented by Y-ME San Diego, a non-profit organization that provides a wide variety of breast cancer services and programs throughout San Diego County.  All of Y-ME San Diego’s programs are free of charge.

North County Republicans Hold Open House


North County Republican Headquarters will  hold an open house on Friday, September 17, 2004, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  They are located at 435 N. Assemblyman Mark Wyland Leads List of Speakers


Todays (September 16th) luncheon meeting of Vista Republican Women Federated will feature Republican Candidates seeking election in November.


Assemblyman for the 74th District, Mark Wyland, will speak at 11:00 a.m.  He will be followed by a panel of Republican Candidates for the Vista School Board.  That group will include Ms. Eileen Fernandez, Dr. Stephen Guffanti and Chris Marsola. After lunch,  a panel of Republican Candidates for Vista City Council will be featured.  This will include Nick Ashcraft, Dr. Michael Dinnel, Steve Gronke, Frank Lopez and Elvin Vega.
