Lake Wohlford Report
by Ranger Fred Costa
Trout fishing has slowed way down as the warmer water temperature stresses these cold water fish.
Catfish action is still good, hitting on chicken liver and cut mackerel. Top Catfish areas have been the South Shore Rockpile, Moreno Rock, and West of Oakvale Cove.
Crappie action has been spotty with red and white jigs working
best near Crappie Rock.
Bluegill have picked up around the shallow weed beds.
The Carp have moved into the shallow weed beds to spawn.
Lake Wohlford will remain open 7 days a week through September 12, 2004. So come on out to Lake Wohlford for your recreational needs and bring the family!
